Management Drives

Management Drives (MD) is a technology enabled consulting framework. It offers a software tool which provides insights into what motivates individuals, teams and organisations. Ultimately, it isn’t organisations that create value, it’s the people and teams that work within them. Studies show that human beings are wired differently and applying simple insightful techniques to how we interact, lead and manage people can make a significant difference to the results we achieve through them.

MD improves the performance of organisations by enhancing the effectiveness of the people working within them. It is based on a unique way of looking at individuals, teams and organisations with a simple and easy to grasp approach. It highlights prevailing patterns of thinking and behaviour which every individual, team and their organisation exhibit. These patterns are measured by looking at what motivates or drives an individual. Drives determine how an individual, team or organisation functions. How is Management Drives Used?

The Management Drives App
MD offers users an App which makes access to individual and team profiles possible in real time and enhances the user experience. The profiles can be viewed using phones, iPads or any other handheld device.

Becoming a Management Drives Partner
To become an MD partner, you will need to complete a certification programme. The course is designed to help you work with individuals, teams and organisations using MD’s framework either as a consultant, coach or adviser. It consists of two modules delivered over five consecutive days. These are the Individual Profiles (IP) course and the Groups, Teams and Organisations (GTO) course.

Human resource practitioners, coaches and internal and external consultants will benefit from becoming Management Drives certified. Acquiring the MD Individual profile and Groups, Teams and Organisations certifications will improve professional practice, enhance career prospects and lead to greater workplace impact.

The IP training provides a sound basis for your knowledge of the tool. In this course, you learn how to use MD’s software to help individuals in their personal and leadership development. You learn to understand what drives someone and present this knowledge to the recipient in an understandable way and advise him or her on further development. You not only master the theory of drives and leadership, but you can also apply the new knowledge in practice. The course also helps you in your own leadership. You will look into the mirror, because your drives determine how you view someone else’s drives.

During the GTO certification segment of the training course, you’ll learn how to use the MD software to improve individuals, groups, teams and organisations. You will learn to do a team scan, which provides a detailed analysis of the culture in teams and how to analyse the team profiles and give non-judgemental feedback, so that the group becomes aware of its drives, strengths and pitfalls. You’ll be able to use the tool to support organisations in achieving strategic alignment, learn how diversity works and how teams change in a way that gives energy. You’ll be provided with concrete programs for seeing, acting and securing the needed change. From that moment onwards, you can start using the MD software to improve individuals, teams and organisations performance.
